Wait, how does that work?

So I still pay for the videos?
fal.ai and Atlas Cloud are the engines. Barecost is the steering wheel and the fuel gauge. Both accounts are yours. So yes, you pay whichever of them runs the model, not us. Neither is the same as the labs that built the models: Seedance is ByteDance, Veo is Google, Kling is Kuaishou, WAN is Alibaba. You never deal with those labs directly. A five-second clip costs between $0.50 and $2.37 depending on the model, all at fal.ai published rates. Barecost charges once for the software and takes nothing per generation.
Is this hard to set up?
You make a free account with a provider and copy one code into Barecost. The setup walks you through it click by click, using that provider's own menus. Five minutes, once. If you can't get it working, you get your money back within 5 days.
Could I accidentally spend a fortune?
Two things stop you. Barecost lets you set a monthly limit and stops generating when you hit it. And the providers are prepaid. You load a balance and generation simply stops when it runs out, so there's no bill to arrive later.
Why not just pay for a monthly plan somewhere?
If you make videos regularly and always want the same model, a subscription can work out fine. Go and compare. Barecost suits you if your volume is uneven, if you want to choose models by price, or if you'd rather own the software than rent it. A monthly plan charges the same whether you make fifty videos or two, and unused credits usually expire.
What if I stop using it?
Nothing happens. No subscription to cancel. Everything you generate lives in your own provider account, not ours.

The terms, in plain words

What you are buying

Barecost is web software for generating video through AI models. You buy it once. There is no subscription and no recurring charge of any kind.

What it costs

Solo is $99, one-time, charged in US dollars. Agency is one payment too, quoted after a conversation. Your bank may convert at its own rate.

What is not included

Generating a video costs money at the provider that runs the model, either fal.ai or Atlas Cloud. You connect your own account with them and they bill you directly at their published rates. Barecost never marks that up, never resells it, and takes no share of it. It is not included in the purchase price because it is not ours to sell.

How you get it

Immediately. Barecost is a website, not a download. The moment your payment settles, the plan is on your account and you can sign in and use it. If you paid without signing in first, sign in with the email address you paid with and it will be waiting.

Refunds

Five days, no questions asked, for the purchase price. Email contact@barecost.com and we will refund it. What you have already spent at fal.ai or Atlas Cloud is not ours to refund. That money went to them, not to us. Full terms.

Barecost, an independent software business. Questions, refunds and anything else: contact@barecost.com, answered within one working day.

Your card statement will show BARECOST. If you see a charge you do not recognise, email us before disputing it and we will sort it out the same day.
